Admirals Skills Showdown

RULES AND INFORMATION

Skaters will compete in all four events: Fastest Skater, Shooting Accuracy, Shootout and Obstacle Course.

• Goaltenders will compete in the Goaltender Competition (Fastest Skater, Shootout & Obstacle Course)

• House level players will compete against other house level players. Travel level players will compete against travel level players.

• Age groups will follow the current USA Hockey age levels for 2008-09:

Squirt (10 & under), Pee Wee (11-12) and Bantam (13-14).

• Minimum of 2 players and 1 goaltender and maximum of 12 players and 4 goaltenders can compete per division.

• Points will be awarded after each event: 10 points for first, 6 points for second, 3 points for third and 1 point for fourth.

• The top two participants overall in each division will qualify for the Norfolk Admirals Skills Showdown, Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Norfolk Scope Arena. Date is subject to change

• The Admirals Skills Showdown "Top Gun" Award winners will be recognized and

presented their award between periods at a Norfolk Admirals game.

• Registration fee is $20 per participant. The fee includes: the competition, and a Red level voucher to any Admirals game during the 2009-10 regular season.

• Completely filled out registration forms must be returned to the Admirals office no later than one day prior to the competition. Registration fees will be collected the day of the event.
